I FRIULANI “Prestige” High Quality Hand-Tied Cooked Ham

Classic cooked hams

Selected legs of pork born and raised in our region, Friuli Venezia Giulia. To make our PRESTIGE we begin by carefully selecting the key ingredient in each Vida Cooked Ham. The thighs are then flavored with our natural infusion of spices and aromatic plants, an exclusive recipe born in 1966 from the experience of Luigi Vida, able to give the right delicacy to the innate qualities of the Friulian thigh used. A long massaging phase during which it is lightly curdled causes the leg to acquire the softness typical of Very High Quality Hams. Skilled hands of pork butchers shape and bind the ham out of the mold. The slow steaming phase, over 24 hours long, is able to preserve the excellent organoleptic characteristics of the meat, and is the final touch in the processing of this masterpiece of taste.

The exterior color is typically pinkish, the result of slow steaming. The slice is soft and firm, able to melt in the mouth like a true High Quality ham. The ham is sweet and delicately flavored, with just the right balance of salt.

Our "PRESTIGE" Cooked Ham is a "High Quality" ham: therefore with low content of preservatives and antioxidants. Therefore, once opened it should be cut and consumed as quickly as possible, taking care to store it at a temperature between 0° and 4°. It can also be placed in vacuum or atm, extending its natural shelf life by a few days.

Degustazione e abbinamento

In order for it to release the typical aromas of processing and cooking, "PRESTIGE" Prosciutto should be eaten cold and thinly sliced with a slicing machine. We recommend pairing it with white wines from the region, such as "Friulano" or sparkling "Ribolla Gialla", which best enhance its flavors.
