La Porchettina

We use only the best, carefully selected bacon roasts. We season and marinate them with our natural infusion of a mixture of spices and herbs, based on a recipe created by Luigi Vida in 1966. After a long phase of massaging and maturing, they are further enriched with aromatic herbs, then shaped out of mould by the skilful hands of our pork butchers and subjected to cooking, first in steam ovens and then roasted at a temperature that gives them their special flavour and browning.

The golden exterior is amber, the result of roasting. The inside is pinkish and genuinely soft. It melts on the palate, with a sweet, delicately smoky taste and a typical slightly spicy flavour.

"La Porchettina' is a quality product: therefore it has a low content of preservatives and antioxidants. Hence, once opened, it should be cut and consumed as quickly as possible, taking care to store it at a temperature between 0° and 4°. It can also be vacuum-packed or placed in atm, extending its natural shelf life by a few days.

Degustazione e abbinamento

In order to release the typical aromas of the cooking process, 'La Porchettina' should be eaten cold and thinly sliced. We recommend pairing it with rosé wines or red wines such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, which better enhance its flavours.
